Melton Mowbray's Santa Fun Run Sunday 12th December 2021 We were delighted to be able to bring the Melton Santa Fun Run back to the Melton Country Park thuis year, organised by the Melton Rotary Club. The weather was kind to us this year, with the warmest day for some weeks and the sun coming out for the run. The event was enjoyed by everyone of all ages. It was a sea of red and white on 8th December as the participants took part in the Melton Santa Fun Run and Walk. The event saw 76 runners participate in red hats and white beards. Entrants had the option to do a brisk 1 mile route or tackle a harder 5km course around Melton Country Park. Runners raised over £1,000 for their own good causes and for charities supported by the Rotary club. "We were really pleased with the turnout, given all the uncertainties over the past weeks and months" said Alison Blythe, the leader of the event.
